Asus teases MeMO tablet ahead of Computex 2011

Asus has teased another tablet ahead of Computex 2011 next week. This time the slogan in the teaser reads "Break the rules: A tablet that jumps out at you." The image appears to resemble the Asus MeMO first unveiled at CES earlier this year. While not mentioned at CES as a possibility for the device, the slogan seems to suggest that the MeMO could feature a 3D display.

The Eee Pad MeMO is a 7.1-inch tablet that will run Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). It uses a smart stylus that works with its capacitive display and is capable of outputting 1080p video over a micro HDMI port. According to Techinstyle, the Eee Pad MeMO that will be unveiled next week is essentially the same as the model displayed at CES, although with a "bit of an upgrade."

When it was shown at CES, the MeMO was expected to go on sale in June.

Also revisited is the "Pad or Phone" teaser, this time with a new image showing both a smartphone and a tablet. Engadget speculates that it could be indicative of a phone that docks with a tablet, much in the way the Motorola Atrix docks with a netbook style dock. [via Engadget]
