Juice Pack combines case, 1000mAh battery
The iPod touch 4 has a new battery pack option today, as mophie has launched the Juice Pack Air Rechargeable External Battery Case for iPod touch 4G. The ultra-thin design features a built-in 1,000mAh lithium polymer battery that adds 34 hours of audio or six hours of video playback, nearly doubling the iPod's built in battery capacity. The case offers fast charging, taking 100 minutes to charge the device from a 20-percent remaining level. Charging can be turned off and saved for later using a toggle switch on the case.
The hard-shell case has a soft, rubberized finish with a four-step LED battery status indicator. It uses an included USB cable that supports both charging and syncing the iPod while inside the case.
The case is available today in black, with blue and red due later in the month. The Juice Pack is $50.
