Al Gore e-book Our Choice comes to iPad, iPhone

Videos, interactive modules prove major elements
With help from Rodale, Melcher Media and Push Pop Press, Apple board member Al Gore has released a new e-book on the App Store, Our Choice. The title is described as a followup to An Inconvenient Truth, and once again tries to explain the causes of global warming as well as current and potential solutions. All of Gore's earnings from the app are being funneled back into the Alliance for Climate Protection, his non-profit educational organization.
The app is based on Push Pop's e-book framework, specifically designed for iOS devices. As such the book is media-heavy, including not just text but a variety of interactive elements such as maps, animations and infographics. Non-interactive media includes over an hour of video, some 250 images, and audio commentary by Gore.
The is app is a $5 download, and requires iOS 4.2 or better. Compatible devices are limited to iPads, the iPhone 4 and 3GS, and third- and fourth-generation iPod touches. Graphics scale accordingly, although the iPhone/iPod interface demands extra scrolling.

Finally a reason to buy an iPad2!
Thank you lord, finally a reason to buy a iPad2. All of Gore's earnings go to HIS education fund. Yeah...Right. I'd rather buy 5, 1 Dollar f*** apps then his pile of bull which I'm sure Al gore did all of the research on.
