A leaked roadmap for Intel's of solid-state drives indicates the company is planning five additions to its SSD lines this year. According to the leak, Intel will establish a new high-end line with the "Ramsdale" SSD 720 Series, and the "Lyndonville" SSD 710 Series. Two new lines, the 20GB "Larsen Creek" and 40GB/80GB "Paint Creek," appear to be designed for high-performance caching functions such as improving boot time. According to the leaked roadmap, Intel will also extend the SSD 510 line with the "Cherryville" SSD 520 Series.

According to the roadmap, Ramsdale will use 34nm SLC NAND chips, a PCI Express card slot form factor, and be available in either 200GB or 400GB capacity. The "Lyndonville" SSD 710 series, designed for enterprise use, will have 200GB or 400GB of MLC-HET flash, and use a 3GB SATA II interface in a 2.5-inch form factor. Both series are slated for a Q3 rollout.

The Larsen Creek series will share use the same 34 nm chips as Ramsdale, be available with both SATA and mSATA interfaces, and a 2.5-inch form factor. Larsen Creek is scheduled for Q3 2011, according to the document.

Both Paint Creek and Cherryville will use the same 25nm MLC architecture as Intel's SSD 320. The Cherryville SSD 520 series will be available in 64GB, 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacity. The leaked document slots Paint Creek and Cherryville for launch in Q4 2011.

Intel has not officially announced pricing or availability for any of the new SSD series mentioned in the leaked roadmap. [via Engadget]
