iHome iA63 dock has swiveling iPhone cradle
iHome on Wednesday shipped out the iA63 as a unique take on iPhone and iPod radio docks. The hub has a unique circular cradle that can rotate to hold the Apple device upright or in landscape mode without disrupting the design or needing a dock adapter. It can tie in closely with the optional iHome+Radio app (free, App Store) to wake to Internet radio rather than just music.
The black audio system has a sync button to link its internal clock's time to that on an iPhone. It has just one alarm but has gradual wake and sleep options as well as a controllable snooze time that can cut off the wake up music up to half an hour later. iHome gives it a six-preset FM radio and an aux-in jack to take basic audio from non-iOS sources.
iA63 radios should be in stores effective today and costs $100. Official support is so far limited to iPhones and the iPod touch and doesn't include the iPod classic or iPod nano.
