HTC Pyramid may be rebadged as Sensation
HTC's Pyramid flagship phone will show up at its April 12 event but with a name change, a source said Wednesday. It would be relabeled the Sensation, at least for the UK, and would ship sometime within the next few months. Pocket-lint in scoring the leak didn't identify a firm release date or carriers.
The phone is expected to be an international parallel to the Evo 3D for Sprint. It will drop the glasses-free 3D screen and the second rear camera, but it should still have a 4.3-inch, 540x960 screen, a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon, and Android 2.3 with the latest version of the Sense UI. It will still have a front VGA camera for chat and should get a higher resolution eight-megapixel camera on the back.
Talk has emerged that the Pyramid/Sensation might reach T-Mobile USA and give it an effective counter to Sprint.
