NVIDIA Quadro 400 GPU made for workstations

NVIDIA on Tuesday unveiled the Quadro 400 GPU. It's made for professional designers and engineers and for programs such as Autodesk's AutoCAD and other 3D-heavy apps. It consumes 32W and is small enough to fit inside most any workstation and small form-factor system.

It also gets 512MB of dedicated RAM and boasts a 30-bit (10-bits per color) color engine with a one-billion color range. The GPU can drive two screens through its dual-link DVI port at up to 3840x2400 resolution at 24Hz on each panel and DisplayPort at up to 2560x1600. The GPU also supports NVIDIA's 3D Vision and 3D Vision Pro technology for stereoscopic 3D.

The Quadro 400 is now available, priced at $169. It is compatible with the HP Z800, Z600 and Z400 Workstations, Fujitsu Celsius workstations, and some Lenovo ThinkStation D20, C20, S20 and E30 models.
