A bomb threat at an Apple distribution center in Elk Grove, California -- on the outskirts of Sacramento -- today triggered the evacuation of three buildings, according to AppleInsider sources. Specifically the A, B and C buildings on the eastern side of the facility were reportedly cleared out at about 9:30AM local time. By 11:30, emergency crews were still said to be in the area.
Among other structures Apple has three warehouses at the Elk Grove center measuring a total of 450,000 square feet. The evacuated buildings are said to be used for returns, finances, human resource operations and housing refurbished goods. There is no word on the nature of the threat, nor of any injuries or damage.
