New lineup said to be coming at IDF in Beijing

Intel is reportedly preparing to introduce its Cedar Trail offerings next month at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in Beijing. The lineup is said to include a 32nm Atom processor, labeled Cedarview, that is currently being tested and expected to arrive on the market sometime in May or June, unnamed sources have told DigiTimes.

The platform serves as a successor to the current Pine Trail chips, and will be sold alongside the Oak Trail platform that is geared for tablets. Graphics performance is expected to be significantly improved, enabling systems to support DirectX 10.1 content, Blu-ray playback, and output for dual displays in several different formats.

The IDF conference is scheduled for April 12-13. Asustek is said to be preparing to unveil an inexpensive ultra-thin netbook during the same time-frame.
