Aperture 3.1.2 update smooths out bugs, performance

updated 04:45 pm EDT, Tue March 22, 2011

iPhoto, brushes fixed

Apple is now distributing a minor update for Aperture, 3.1.2. The patch is said to improve "overall stability and performance," as well as correct three specific glitches. The first involves problems with importing libraries from iPhoto. Similarly, Apple has also addressed reconnecting referenced master images.

A last bugfix should improve both the reliability and responsiveness of brushes in photo editing. The update is a 297.63MB download, and currently available in English, French, German and Japanese. At least Mac OS X 10.5.8 or 10.6.6 is required.
