Droid Bionic hinted soon through source
An unusual but clear hint this week has suggested that the Droid Bionic might finally be getting close to its release. Using a poem, well-known leaker Black_man_x said buyers "may yet have several weeks" to wait for Motorola's phone at Verizon. While he didn't mention Motorola by name, the Bionic is so far the only phone unveiled for the network with both dual-core and LTE mentioned in the rhyme.
The Bionic was in the roughest state of the LTE phones we saw at CES and has likely been pushed past Thursday's Thunderbolt launch to finish software. Motorola plans to introduce the Bionic with a new version of Blur and may also consider shipping the device with a newer version of Android beyond 2.2.
It may be the fastest LTE phone Verizon ships, with a Tegra 2 onboard, and could be relatively advanced with a 540x960, 4.3-inch screen and dual cameras. Verizon's device is a partial step back from the Atrix 4G at AT&T with 512MB of RAM but will have the faster network speeds and newer software.
