Samsung prices, dates 2011 LED TVs
Samsung has revealed pricing for its LED TVs due out in 2011 that were introduced at CES. This includes the range-topping D8000 series, which is made up of 55-inch and 46-inch sets. The two are now out, with the former priced at $3,600 and the latter at $2,800.
The D7000 TVs that arrive in March, in the same 55- and 46-inch sizes, are priced at $3,100 and $2,900, respectively. There are three models in the D6400 series. This includes the $2,400 55-inch set, the $1,600 46-inch set and a 40-inch, $1,300 model. All but the largest model will ship in March, with the UN55D6400 coming in May.
The D6300 comes in the same sizes as the D6400, with all shipping in March. The 55-inch will cost $2,300, the 46-inch $1,500 and the 40-inch $1,200.
Next up is the D6000 range, again in the same sizes and already shipping. They cost $2,100, $1,300 and $1,100.
The D5500s are smaller, with a 40-inch model as the flagship of the series. It will cost $900 when it arrives later this month, with the 32-inch model priced at $700 and the 22-inch model at $300. A UN22D5010 will cost the same, and all come out this month.
At the bottom of the range is the 32-inch D4000 at $530 and a 19-inch D4000 for $250. Both arrive in March.
At the same time, Samsung revealed a new 3D Starter Kit that includes two pairs of 3D active glasses and 3D Blu-ray versions of the CG movie Megamind and the complete Shrek series. It comes bundled with any of the new 3D TVs.
