Samsung Infuse 4G reaches FCC

updated 12:25 pm EDT, Mon March 14, 2011

Infuse 4G now at FCC, on track for spring release

The Samsung Infuse 4G, formerly known as the Stealth V, has now shown up at the FCC, hinting it's nearing production. The new filing reveals the handset, also known as the SGH-1997, will as expected support AT&T's 850 and 1,900MHz 3G bands. The Galaxy S device will most notably sport a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen.

It will also have a rear-facing eight-megapixel camera along with a front-facing 1.3-megapixel shooter. It was previously said to come with Android 2.2, but it may ship with a newer version of the OS if it comes late enough. It's also expected to be powered by Samsung's own 1.2GHz Exynos processor, though possibly a single-core chip. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS are also integrated into the device and supported by the FCC's own tests.

A spring release for the Infuse 4G is likely. [via PocketNow]
