NVIDIA said dating GeForce GTX 590 for March 22
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 590 may have received a firmer launch date through a leak. The dual-chip gaming graphics will reportedly arrive on March 22. ExPreview didn't say, but it will likely mean a hard launch with boards available immediately.
The GTX 590 will be arriving just two weeks after the Radeon HD 6990 and could challenge it for the performance lead. Like its AMD rival, it will have two full-featured graphics processors and here will have 1,024 cores. NVIDIA's card will only have 3GB of RAM but could use the wider memory bus to at least keep up with its rival.
NVIDIA's board could be one of the most power-hungry cards ever and could use 375W of power at peak, demanding an extra-strong power supply.
