Some cameras still expected to ship in March

Fujifilm has announced that it is facing shortages of its semi-professional FinePix X100 cameras. The company cites stronger-than-expected demand, though it is said to be ramping up production to compensate. Some cameras are still expected to ship by the end of March, within the original time-frame, but further deliveries may be pushed back to the first week of April.

The X100 features an APS-C sized CMOS sensor with 12.3-megapixel resolution, typical of larger DSLRs but integrated into a compact body. The design also utilizes a fixed-focus 23mm f2 lens, while 720p video recording and RAW shooting are standard features.

Customers currently can pre-order the X100 for $1,199. [via dpreview]
