Digital Heaven announces Final Print 2 public beta

updated 11:15 pm EST, Mon March 7, 2011

App prints lists of info from Final Cut projects

Video application and plug-in maker Digital Heaven has revealed a free, time-limited public beta of Final Print v2, their XML-based tool that allows browsing and printing of Final Cut project information, such as a list of clips, markers and bin contents. The new version features a completely re-designed interface, support for Final Cut Pro 7, improved performance and other features.

Final Print v2 allows for up to 10 columns of information, and now features support for viewing clips within sequences. Also added is the ability to filter the current display by colored markers or tracks, having multiple XML files or projects open at once, and the ability to save files as PDFs. The program utilizes Final Cut's XML interchange format to create the lists, which can prove useful when sharing video projects with other editors.

The public beta is fully-functional but time-limited, and available for download from Digital Heaven's website. Final Print requires an Intel Mac and at least Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 for creating XML files. Final Cut Pro 7 is required for directing opening of files.
