Motorola Xoom due in Germany, Japan this April

On its translated web page, T-Mobile Germany has revealed that it will have the exclusive rights to sell the Motorola Xoom Android 3.0 tablet for 90 days starting at the end of April. Also, Japanese carrier KDDI will offer the same device at or near the same time, Akihabara reported on Monday. The Japanese Xooms will not have 3G radios onboard, however, making do only with Wi-Fi.

The Xoom is powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU and a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x800. There is 1GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space.

At the same time, KDDI introduced an Android phone called the HTC Evo WiMAX. A rebadged version of the HTC Evo 4G available at Sprint in the US, it has identical specs. This means a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, 4.3-inch touchscreen, 720p video-recording capabilities and HDMI output. It runs on CDMA with EVDO 3G and its namesake WiMAX for data.
