First non-beta FaceTime for Mac
An anticipated MacBook Pro refresh -- which could happen as soon as Thursday -- may bring with it two improvements to FaceTime. The first is the introduction of "FaceTime HD" cameras, referenced in photos of alleged boxes for the updated notebooks. What the name implies is uncertain, but Apple's other uses of "HD" may indicate that Pro webcams will be upgraded to do 720p video.
A leaked screenshot meanwhile purports to show FaceTime 1.0. While versions of FaceTime have technically been available on Macs since October, the software has always been stuck in beta form. Evolution may be needed to support the resolution of FaceTime HD cameras.

wow
They're renaming the iSight to FaceTime (because, apparently, it just can't be called a camera).
And HD! That is exciting! Now all those mac users can be not using a much higher resolution camera on their macs!
Here's an idea, how about letting me save $100 (or whatever) and not include the worthless thing at all?
