updated 04:20 pm EST, Tue February 1, 2011

LOVE, All Together Now available for pre-order

Apple has announced that the iTunes Store will soon be carrying two exclusive Beatles titles, the LOVE album and a documentary called All Together Now; pre-orders begin today. On iTunes LOVE will include previously unreleased versions of "The Fool on the Hill" and "Girl," as well as iTunes LP features like a gallery of the Beatles and the album's namesake stage production. Cirque du Soleil has been performing LOVE in Las Vegas since 2006.

All Together Now is an 84-minute film which will be available in HD, and include iTunes Extras such as three bonus featurettes and a trailer for the stage show. The movie chronicles the partnership between the Beatles and Cirque du Soleil in creating LOVE. It should be available to both rent and buy.

The iTunes version of LOVE will be ready for download on Feb. 8 for $13. All Together Now is due to arrive on Feb. 15th at a purchase price of $10.

Apple has been heavily invested in promoting the Beatles' availability on iTunes, particularly since 2 million song and 450,000 album downloads were recorded in the first week.

Music is great, performance was uninspired

I like Beatle's music and I like some of the Cirque du Soleil shows, especially "O".

While the sound system for Beatle's LOVE was better than any sound system I've experienced, it was beyond amazing, the show itself was uninspired and for the most part could have been for any British pop group or even Mary Poppins.

Most of the performance had nothing to do with the songs themselves. Considering all the "color" and details in Beatle songs it's amazing that they didn't tape into the stories the songs weave.

The Cirque du Soleil performance was at its best when I closed my eyes and felt the warm of the Beatle's music fully surround me like warm bath water.

I've pre-ordered the companion video to LOVE and am looking forward to it. I already have the CDs for LOVE and don't see any compelling reasons to buy the "album" on itunes.

    Never saw the performance

but have heard good things about LOVE, and enjoy the iTunes LP format so I may actually spring for this.
