First Windows Phone 7 update coming February 7?

The first software update for Windows Phone 7 handsets may be released on February 7, according to unconfirmed rumors from around the Internet, specifically in France. Among other features and performance improvements, the update is expected to bring with it the promised copy and paste text. The update was slated for a February release according to earlier reports, and February 7 would place it a week before the Mobile World Congress show, where new handsets are expected to be revealed.

Improvements to the web browser are also expected, with added support that includes HTML5 and speed boosts that would put in at or nearly on par with Android and iOS browsers. More information regarding the update, nicknamed NoDo (or No Donuts, an obvious dig at Google) is expected as soon as later on this week. [via LiveSide]
