NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 flagship set to arrive in February?

updated 09:25 pm EST, Fri January 28, 2011

Card said to have dual graphics circuits

NVIDIA's is reportedly set to introduce a new flagship graphics card, which is said to carry the label GeForce GTX 590. Corroborating earlier leaks, the card will allegedly integrate dual GF110 GPUs with a combined 1024 CUDA cores and 3GB of memory, sources have told NordicHardware. The latest information suggests separate leak, which was tied to the name GTX 595, may have been an prototype of the 590.

The card will effectively double the number of CUDA cores from the existing GTX 580 variant, which only integrates a single GPU. The new model reportedly brings a significant jump in efficiency, with lower voltages and a likely drop in clock frequencies. The configuration is also said be paired with a 2x384-bit memory bus.

The GTX 590 has been paired with a February launch date, though the company has yet to confirm details surrounding the card.
