HTC's buttonless phone seen with Verizon badge

HTC phone with no buttons with Verizon logo seen

Real images, as opposed to a render, have now been leaked online of a buttonless HTC smartphone. Courtesy of Chinese forum site Mobile01, the photos confirm the lack of a front-facing camera and a rear panel that resembles that of its Droid Incredible stablemate. A dual LED flash is housed in back as well, and a Verizon logo is pasted onto the front of the handset.

The thus-far unnamed handset will likely be officially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress show in February. The button-free design hints at the device sporting Android 3.0, which is optimized for such layouts. According to the users on the Chinese forum, the codename for the handset is Vivo, and it will sport a four-inch S-LCD display from Sony.

It is also said to run on Android 2.2.1 overlaid with Sense UI, carried over from the Desire HD. [via Engadget]
