Samsung MWC show centers on Galaxy S 2, Tab 2
A slip this evening has backed notions that Samsung's Mobile World Congress event next month could be limited to just two devices. The reported itinerary shows the company launching the Galaxy S 2 as well as the Galaxy Tab 2. Samsung Hub's copy shows that media should get hands-on time at a "product experience" afterwards.
The Galaxy S 2 could be an aggressive update with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, a possible dual-core processor and an eight-megapixel camera with 1080p movie making. It may be a smaller version of the Infuse 4G and could still have the HSPA+ 3G and a front camera.
Little is known for certain about the Galaxy Tab 2, but it may be the 10-inch variant Samsung confirmed was in development for this year. The size of the screen could still mandate LCD, but it may use its new PLS displays to provide better brightness and viewing angles over even IPS screens like those in the iPad. A faster processor, faster 3G and Android 3.0 are also among the most likely prospects.
