updated 08:35 pm EST, Tue January 18, 2011

Dozens of new plug-ins added, package now on sale

Monkeybread Software have released their 11th annual collection of plug-ins that extend the REALbasic development environment, adding dozens of new functions, events and classes that focus on supporting the new web applications development and Cocoa target, with a particular emphasis on picture handling. The collection now totals over 1,400 classes and 32,000 documented functions.

The plug-in collection works with REAL Studio and includes changes made with the introduction of REAL Studio Web Edition last month. The Complete version of the collection, which retails for $279, adds classes related to Cocoa, CURL, data types, Java, OS X 10.5 compatibility, networking, QuickTime, USB and Excel files among many others. A complete list of additions and improvements can be found here.

Users can buy the complete package or components thereof at various prices, and can also download the plug-ins in platform-specific versions or as a complete lot. Currently the complete package is part of the Omega Bundle, which offers 10 products to complement REAL Studio with a total of $3200 for $399. The Omega Bundle offer ends on January 29th.

Monkeybread Fills in all the Missing Bits in REAL

MBS Complete has been around for a few years, and its a popular plugin set for many reasons - mostly because every update adds new abilities as a result of someone finding out they can't do what they want to do in a plain vanilla installation of REAL Studio. It is exactly the plugin set you need if you are up against a wall and can't come up with a external yourself.
