Leaked images show Samsung Galaxy S Mini?

updated 06:55 pm EST, Thu January 13, 2011

Device expected to launch at MWC in February

Leaked images reportedly show a 'Mini' variant to be included in Samsung's Galaxy S family. The compact form closely resembles the Galaxy Player 50, a media player that was recently unveiled at CES. Both devices share a compact form and iPhone-like home button below the display. The Mini -- officially labeled the S5830 -- is said to be built with a 480x320 touchscreen.

Other rumored features include Android 2.2, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a five-megapixel camera with LED flash.

The Galaxy S Mini is expected to be launched alongside the Galaxy S2 next month at Mobile World Congress, however the company has yet to officially announce the handset or confirm any details. [via UnwiredView and Teena]

Are you sure it is a Samsung....

I can see the logo and everything but at first glance I thought it was an iPhone 3GS. Oh wait....I see...the button is different...thank god they showed some innovative new feature other wise I would have thought they had been just copying the iPhone.

    Then again...

the images in this story are different to other images I've seen (which granted are not much to look at) so perhaps they may have decided to boldly go in their own direction (on this one occasion). But just to clarify, the images above are definately an iPhone knockoff and it appears to be in Samsungs genes to simply panic and just copy Apple.
