Claims compatibility with any iPhone, iPod
Royal Philips Electronics (Philips) unveiled several new products in its line portable media players and accessories at CES2011. New additions to the Fidelio family of docking stations include the Fidelio Lifestyle Docking Speaker DS8550 and Fidelio Primo Docking Speaker DS9010. The Fidelio DS8550 is a portable speaker that the company claims will dock any iPhone or iPod as well as the iPad. The speakers can be controlled remotely by an app or the device's own remote. A five-hour rechargeable internal battery and A2DP Bluetooth connectivity make the DS8550 a truly portable speaker solution. It is also accepts input from a 3.5mm stereo jack.
The Fidelio Primo DS9010 docking speakers are built with premium components, including audiophile-quality drivers. They incorporate a curved back cover that facilitates natural sound reproduction.
Philips also introduced the third generation of its GoGear Muse media player. The Muse portable audio and video player features surround sound and ships with sound isolation headphones. The Muse also incorporates a library management feature to store and modify playlists.
Also unveiled were the PD725 portable TV/HDTV/DVD player and the PB9013 dual-screen portable Blu-ray player. The PD725 has a 7-inch LCD display. The company claims it is the first TV/DVD combo device to incorporate both free over-the-air digital television and DVD playback. The PB9013 is a portable Blu-ray and DVD player with dual 9-inch screens. It comes with its own vehicle mounting system, and can also be incorporated into HDTV home theater systems.
All five products were CES Innovation award winners.
