Converter works with HDV, AVI, MKV, TiVo, more
Foxreal Studio has launched new video conversion software for the Mac, Foxreal Video Converter for Mac. It converts between numerous video formats and has headlining support for Apple ProRes. It also supports other pro-grade codecs like DVCPRO HD and other DVCPRO codecs, HDV, Avid DNxHD and Apple Intermediate. It also converts between common formats like AVI, MKV, MP4, MOV, VOB, MPG, FLV and WMV. It also supports AVCHD MTS/MTS2.
The software also converts TV formats like TiVo, TS and DVR-MS to quickly transfer those formats to an iPad or iPhone friendly file. It can also crop and trim clips, watermark and de-interlace them.
Foxreal Video Converter uses advanced audio/video sync and supports importing HD to SD for Final Cut Pro 7. It requires a 1GHz processor and Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, with at least 512MB of RAM. It costs $35.

Yet Again...
Yet again MacNN promotes bogus software that replicates the functionality that either already exists within the system or is available through opensource and excellent shareware applications. This looks exactly like the crappy rip-off software that is so common on the Windows platform... which is exactly where it should stay! Avoid!
