Post-Xmas sales offer great savings till Dec. 31s

[Updated with a new bundle offer] Four unrelated sales add up to great savings for Mac users in the last days of 2010. MacBundlePro is offering their NanoBundle2, a total of seven useful apps through December 30th; Mariner Software has discounted all of their software and combo-packs by 50 percent, with prices on their award-winning software for Mac and Windows now starting as low as $10 until the end of the year; Bundles for Mac offers a package of six apps aimed specifically at web developers; and a collective of six popular indie developers have thrown together a bundle deal that only lasts until the start of the new year.

MacBundlePro's NanoBundle2 includes AirRadar2 (normally $20), which reports statistics on wireless networks; InPaint (normally $40), a program to remove unwanted objects from photos without manually masking or cloning; MacHider ($20) that obscures, encrypts and password-protects sensitive files; Translate It! ($80) a multi-lingual dictionary, translation and language-learning tool; ManPower ($25) which provides a GUI for Unix documentation in a Mail-like three-pane environment for easy reading, printing and organizing; PacketStream ($25), a GUI for tcpdump, providing data about the local or internet traffic on your network, and finally DVD Snap 2 ($13), a tool to allow taking stills from playing DVD movies running in Apple's DVD player. The bundle sells for a total of $20.

Mariner Software offer bundles as well, but of their own products -- such as the Mariner Pak, which combines MarinerWrite and MarinerCalc. The company is discounting all their desktop applications and combos for the remainder of the year, meaning products such as their flagship MarinerWrite is now just $25, their professional screenwriting software Montage is just $50, MacGourmet Deluxe (recently updated) is just $25 and their grand Writer's Suite -- comprising all seven of their writing-oriented programs, including MacJournal, Contour, StoryMill, Desktop Poet and Narrator in addition to MarinerWrite and Montage -- is selling for only $125. The sale applies to both Mac and Windows software only, and runs till the year's end.

Not to be confused with MacBundlePro, Bundles for Mac offers a monthly bundle deal that gathers apps into a theme aimed at a specific audience. Their December package focuses on web site administration and maintenance tools, and includes the all-purpose HTML editor skEdit (normally $35), which assists with hand-coded HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, Python, ASP, Ruby/Rails, SQL, ActionScript and ColdFusion with Tidy integration for clean code; Querious (normally $30), a tool for managing and structuring MySQL databases; Dejal's Simon ($50), a remote web site monitoring tool that offers complete information on your server and hosted sites; Better Link Tester ($25), a deep link-checking tool; Involer ($35), a basic-but-elegant invoicing program that offers an easy way to do professional-looking billing, and YummyFTP ($28), a Mac-native SFTP and FTP client that claims it is the fastest and most flexible among its competition. The entire bundle is offered for $30, and ends on New Year's Eve.

Finally, the makers of six popular Mac applications have come together for a year-end sale. The Indie Mac Gift Pack offers six apps -- Rogue Amoeba's RadioShift internet-radio player and recorder (normally $32), Delicious Monster's popular media-database app Delicious Library (normally $40), Flying Meat's drawing software Acorn v2 ($50), Felt Tip's debut of the new Sound Studio v4 audio software ($80), Red Sweater's MarsEdit v3 blogging software ($40) and Sous Chef, the recipe database and manager ($30) from Acacia Tree -- for a bundle price of $60. As with the others, the sale expires with the end of 2010.
