Chinese firm clones iPod nano watch concept

updated 04:35 pm EST, Mon December 27, 2010

Creates phone watch with iOS-like UI

A Chinese firm has cloned the iPod nano as a watch concept. In a design also reminiscent of the recent sWaP Rebel watch phone, it also borrows heavily from the iOS user interface in creating something of a cross between the iPod nano and the sWap. iOS UI elements that have been aped include a slide to unlock home screen that also features iOS-like icons.

The design incorporates a 1.8-inch resistive touchscreen, Bluetooth, micro-SD card slot, built-in compass, FM radio, e-books support and camera into its diminutive frame. It also includes a relatively high capacity 450mAh battery, although it somewhat surprisingly omits a 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of a small external speaker.

Pricing and availability has not yet been detailed. [via M.I.C Gadget]
