Acer to bring out 10-inch Aspire One 522

An upcoming notebook from Acer was leaked this week. Called the Aspire One 522, it sports AMD's dual-core C-50 Ontario chip from the Fusion family and shares the chassis first seen on the Aspire One AOD255. The only visual differences are the textured touchpad buttons and the new color.

Each of the C-50 chip's cores is rated at 1GHz, and the power usage is just 9W. It's paired with a Radeon 6250 graphics processor that has DirectX 11 and UVD3 accelerated video decoding support. The 10.1-inch screen only has a resolution of 1280x720, however, restricting any larger resolutions to external displays through an HDMI port. A single speaker is built in as well. The battery is rated at just six hours of life.

There is no word on a release date or pricing for the new notebook. [via Macles]
