Real software still on 'whiteboard'
An alleged Flipboard for Mac screenshot is fake, the iPad app's developer says. "We definitely believe the desktop is part of our future, but it's still on the whiteboard and not something we are launching soon," the company tells 9to5mac. "The desktop requires a lot of attention to design and UI and we'd like to take the time to get it right."
The source of the screenshot originally claimed that a Mac client would be distributed through the Mac App Store, which opens on January 6th. The person also hinted that it would support trackpad gestures, replicating some of the ease of use of the iPad app. The latter is, however, designed to take advantage of the more convenient reading format offered by a multi-touch tablet.

Good for them!

I'm glad to read this. This should help allay any fears that the App store will just be flooded with quick iOS ports.
