Plugin enhances Google SketchUp
A second Humble Indie Bundle gas been launched, offering people a bundle of games at a price of their choosing, while Inglobe has posted a new version of the ARmedia Augmented Reality Plugin.
The second Humble Indie Bundle has gone public, offering buyers five games at a price of their own choosing. The bundle includes Braid, Cortex Command, Machinarium, Osmos and Revenge of the Titans. Each title is DRM-free, and can run on Mac, Windows, or Linux systems. As the bundle is mainly a charity deal, buyers can pick where the money they send ends up. Charity options include the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play; cash can also be directed to the game developers, the Humble Bundle team or any mix of the four.
ARmedia Augmented Reality Plugin updates to 2.0
Inglobe has released a new version of the ARmedia Augmented Reality Plugin for Google SketchUp. The software lets users visualize their 3D SketchUp projects in the physical space that surrounds them. The v2.0 update includes new features for designing augmented reality scenes, and managing a variety of parameters in the workflow of an AR project. Among the new additions are a marker creation utility, support for multiple marks, and the ability to export independent augmented reality files. A free version of the plugin can be downloaded online, but Professional Lite and Professional licenses cost $130 and $329 respectively.
