Third-party apps get more reliable support

Microsoft has posted a new patch for Office for Mac 2011, 14.0.2. A relatively small release, the update nevertheless fixes three important problems. One of these is a stability issue in Outlook, which would potentially cause the app to crash when importing PST files with no-name categories.

Another fix deals with files not opening when loaded by some third-party software. Microsoft has lastly solved an AutoUpdate glitch which prompted people to close the tool while it was running, thereby preventing any updates from actually being installed. The v14.0.2 download is 110.5MB.
