Motorola Android 3 tablet surfaces online

Motorola's Android 3.0 tablet has emerged again tonight with a leak that shows both clearer images and more detailed specs. The new images from well-known Verizon leaker WN Russell reflect the same device shown off by Google VP Andy Rubin and show a 10-inch slate with the completely overhauled interface, including the new navigation bar and lock screen. The back shows the expected five-megapixel camera with flash as well as a large external speaker and what appears to be standard USB ports on the bottom.

Inside, the tablet is still known to be using a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 (T20) but is now known to be clocked at 1GHz and served with 512MB of RAM. It may not be available at all in a Wi-Fi only edition and thus could need a 3G or 4G connection to get online. Verizon is connected to the tablet and will very likely use it as a flagship for its just-launched LTE network, although 3G editions with EVDO and HSPA have been pegged for other carriers.

A 1280x800 display resolution, 32GB of built-in flash and a front two-megapixel camera should come along with the finished hardware.

In addition to the MotoPad name that has floated around, the codenames Everest, Stingray and Trygon have also swirled around the tablet, Russell said. When it ships isn't known, but Motorola is expected to unveil it at its CES keynote on January 5 and may ship to Verizon relatively soon afterwards.

    Another Motorola design.....

you can tell it was designed by Motorola. Why they can't get some real designers in rather than letting their engineers design their devices is inexplicable. I realise it may not be finished yet but if that is the case then why don't they hold back in showing this publicly.

Sadly the finished product will most likely look like this anyway.

Really? "you can tell it was designed by Motorola"? really?

Lets see... yep... it looks so horrible. Just like a iPad in black except it has a camera on the front and back.

    that is it... nothing different.

So when iPad 2 comes out, and has less in terms of hardware specs, costs 25% more and with the same camera's on the front and back, and is in silver... it will be Beautiful!

to quote a famous green midget. "rediculous you are my child."
