EFI update for both 11- and 13-inch Airs

Apple has finally released an EFI Firmware Update for the latest MacBook Air notebooks released earlier in the year. The download is said to resolve an issue that sometimes caused the device to become unresponsive, along with a separate glitch that resulted in a black screen when users attempted to wake or boot the notebook.

It remains unclear if the latest firmware will resolve the majority of issues reported by frustrated customers. After the notebooks arrived on the market, Apple quickly released a graphics update that aimed to resolve several glitches.

The EFI Firmware v2.0 is now available via Software Update for 11- and 13-inch MacBook Airs.
