Movea has launched a new application that allows iPhone 4 users to control HTPCs, while DEVONtechnologies has announced its Black Friday promotion plans


Movea has unveiled a new app that can turn an iPhone 4 into an air mouse for presentations and HTPC use. The Air Mouse app ($2, App Store) works with MotionTools software, which allows users to customize, activate, and control desktop applications. The app allows for scrolling, panning, and zooming, as well as for pen drawing, image stamps, and highlighting.

Additionally, users can set up gesture controls for performing a variety of actions. Air Mouse can be downloaded in the App Store for $2, while the accompanying MotionTools software is available as a free download from the Movea website.

DEVONtechnologies offers 25 percent discount on all software purchases

DEVONtechnologies is offering a 25 percent Black Friday discount on all new purchases and upgrades of its software products. The offer will begin on November 25th at 6pm CET and will run until 9am CET on November 29th. The promotion extends to DEVONthink, DEVONnote, and DEVONagent, as well as to all of the company's software bundles. The company also notes that hardware bundles and DEVONthink To Go, sold through the App Store, are not included in this promotion.
