Nintendo won't be on CES show floor, limited to meetings

Nintendo corrects on CES 2011 plans

Nintendo tonight through the Consumer Electronics Association quickly but partly reversed word that it would have a booth at CES. The Japanese gaming legend will still be at the show but has only reserved meeting rooms while at the show. Its subject of discussion hasn't been made clear but may still center around its 3DS launch two months after the January expo.

The company last had a full presence at CES 16 years ago and has since reserved most of its attention for game-specific shows, such as E3, the Tokyo Game Show and its own Nintendo World events. Game hardware designers usually have little presence at CES apart from the Microsoft keynote and exhibits from others.
