Dell Inspiron Duo now up for pre-order on Microsoft Store

JBL audio dock also up for $49, on special

The Microsoft Store has listed the Dell Inspiron Duo for pre-order. Also listed for pre-order is the companion JBL audio dock. No shipping date is listed at the time of writing, but anyone who places a pre-order will not have their card charged until the order is ready to ship or made available for purchase. Also listed for the first time are the Duo's official specifications.

The Inspiron Duo will ship with a 10.1-inch HD LED-backlit capacitive multitouch display with a resolution of 1366x768. As expected it will be fitted with Intel's latest Atom N550 dual-core 1.5GHz chip with 512KB of L2 cach, supported by 2GB of DDR3 RAM at 800MHz. Graphics is supplied by Intel's integrated NM10 Express. Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) is standard as is a 320GB spinning hard drive. Interestingly, its four cell battery has a quoted life of only 4 hours and it weighs in at 3.39 pounds.

The Dell Inspiron Duo loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium is retailing for $549.
