iPad coming to most Nordic countries shortly

updated 10:50 pm EST, Fri November 19, 2010

3G data plans will be available as well

The iPad, long awaited in the countries of northern Europe and already used by some of its leaders, is said to be launching soon in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Pages for the iPad mirroring those seen in the US have appeared on the country-specific sites and carriers for 3G service in those countries have announced their participation

Among the carriers providing 3G data for the iPad will be Telenor ASA, TeliaSonera AB, Tre, and Tele2 AB, The Wall Street Journal reported today. Contract or Pay-As-You-Go options for data have not yet been made public, but the cellular carriers will not stock the iPad itself.
