Creative launches two PC USB Soundblaster X-Fi solutions

X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro and X-Fi Go! Pro, December

Creative has launched two USB Soundblaster audio enhancement solutions for PCs, the X-Fi Surround Pro and the X-Fi Go! Pro. The X-Fi Surround Pro can be connected to either a desktop or a notebook to upgrade it to as THX TruStudio Pro entertainment system. The X-Fi Go! Pro is the size of a traditional USB drive, which is aimed at notebooks, but which like its big brother will work on a desktop too.

X-Fi Surround Pro includes gold-plated RCA stereo and optical digital out at 24-bit/96kHz when connected to a USB 2.0 port. It can also record at the same quality. It comes with a Cyberlink PowerDVD free software download that delivers support for DTS and Dolby Digital-EX decoding.

The X-Fi Go! Pro also delivers a high quality audio experience to mobile users. It includes a 3.5mm stereo line in as well as a 3.5mm line out. Aimed more at gamers, the device includes EAX 5.0 support for accurate audio environments in games.

Both will be available this December from the Creative online store. The X-Fi Surround Pro will sell for $60, while the X-Fi Go! Pro will be priced at $40.
