New iPad app aims at pro portfolios

A major update of DH_Counter featuring a number of new features has been released by Digital Heaven, while MEDL Mobile has announced the launch of a new portfolio creation app for the iPad, MediaPad Pro.


An update for DH_Counter, an onscreen counter plugin for Final Cut, has been released by Digital Heaven. DH_Counter 2.0 allows editors to quickly create animated counting displays that can be placed on top of any video footage. The new release has been completely rewritten, and includes a number of new features, such as the ability to set a custom start or end time. A watermarked trial version of the software can be downloaded from the company's website, while a full license runs for $29. The company has also added two new plugins, DH_Fade and DH_FieldTrans, to its line of freeware products.

MediaPad Pro brings portfolio creation to iPad

MEDL Mobile has launched a new iPad app designed to help photographers, artists, models, designers, actors and directors construct a customized portfolio. MediaPad Pro offers a customizable interface that can be modified down to fonts and color schemes; a number of audio, video and image filetypes are supported. A guest book feature lets people track who the portfolio has been shared with. MediaPad Pro can be downloaded from the App Store for $15.
