Apple begins hiring reviewers for Mac App Store

updated 01:10 pm EST, Thu November 11, 2010

Relatively low barrier to entry

Apple has started hiring reviewers for the Mac App Store. Candidates must be "software application specialist[s]," able to "organize and prioritize a heavy workload." Seven positions are listed on Apple's website, all based in offices within California's Santa Clara Valley. The company's Cupertino headquarters is located in the area.

Technical requirements are relatively low, demanding only experience with Mac OS X. Special preference, however, is being shown to people with skills in written French, German or Japanese. The Mac App Store has yet to get a formal launch date beyond early next year, although submissions have been in progress since November 4th.
