More launches expected soon
Apple has greatly expanded the international reach of the new Apple TV, bringing it to Mexico and Japan, as well as several European countries including Austria, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Some sample prices include a cost of €119 in Italy, and 129 CHF in Switzerland. Both of those regions should now have HD movie rentals via the iTunes Store.
Yet more countries are believed to be in line for getting the device in the near future. Online Apple stores in Taiwan, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Portugal, Belgium and the Netherlands are now displaying error messages when attempting to select the Apple TV; the same thing is noted to have happened before the launch of the Italian and Swiss set-tops. HD movie rentals are likely to accompany at least some rollouts.
