iOS to be important component
Apple-owned FileMaker has opened up registrations for the 2011 FileMaker Developer Conference. The event is scheduled to run from August 2nd to the 5th, and will take place at a new venue, the Hilton San Diego BayFront hotel in downtown San Diego. FileMaker is expecting an audience of at least 1,000 people to attend, split between corporate and independent developers.
The conference will feature exhibits, networking meets and 50 "under-the-hood" sessions, as well as some pre-conference workshops. Overarching topics will include web publishing, integrating FileMaker into institutions, and iPad and iPhone development. Some of the iOS discussion will revolve around FileMaker Go, the mobile version of FileMaker's software.
Two registration packages are available. A standard one gets users into the main event, while a Gold one includes the workshops. Until June 17th, the packages will cost $1,295 and $1,949, respectively. After the 17th the prices will rise to $1,595 and $2,199.
