Free Realms now available for Mac players

Offer synchronous play with Windows users
As reported last month, Sony Online Entertainment has today made the family-friendly virtual world adventure game Free Realms available to players on the Mac platform. Mac users will now join the 14 million registered Windows users in synchronous gameplay, a first for Sony Online.
Free Realms is a free-to-play online game that includes strong visuals, distinctive environments, rated E10+ for ages 10 and up and includes some social networking capabilities. Players can select from a number of professions and go on quests, play mini-games within the game or dabble in activities. There is a paid level ($5/month) where players can choose other occupations such as Wizard or Archer, and buy in-game items.
Sony promises that the experience for Mac users will be identical to the Windows functionality, with consistent controls and functionality as well as full access to the existing Marketplace and forums.
