Zona works with any surround AV receiver

Aprerion Audio has unveiled its Zona Wireless Surround Speaker System designed to work with any surround AV receiver. The bookshelf speakers are appropriate for high-end and other systems, and are simple to install. Users need only plug the speakers into a power source, and the wireless transmitter plugs directly into the surround pre-out jacks.

Once the transmitter is plugged in, the speakers will automatically detect the transmission with a low latency of less than 20ms and will reproduce current Dolby and DTS surround formats. The system is flexible and will even work via a USB when plugged into a computer to play music in stereo. The transmitter will also automatically identifies and avoids other 2.4GHz signals and will send its signal to other Zona wireless speakers throughout a house.

The Aperion Audio Zona Wireless Surround Speaker System is available now for $500.
