Nokia Z500 tablet leaked by Ovi Store?

Blank Z500 product page makes brief appearance

Nokia may have tipped its hand about the launch of the Z500, a tablet that was hinted at by Nokia officials earlier this year. A Z500 product page was live on the company's Ovi site briefly, and was quickly replaced by placeholder text. Rumors about the Z500, a MeeGo-based Nokia tablet, have circulated for months as the company struggles to field a product to compete with the iPad.

Nokia has retained its position as the world's leading handset manufacturer but in recent years has lost market share to rivals in the smartphone segment, particularly Apple's iPhone. Nokia has also tried to make its smartphone line more competitive by streamlining its Symbian product line. [via Mobile Geek]
