Uses all three of the most popular case materials
The company Ballistic was started when the owner dropped his phone getting out of his car, cracking the screen. Since then, they have been making protective cases for a wide variety of devices, today announcing the Ballistic SG (Shell Gel) triple-layer case for the iPhone 4. It uses three of the most different and most popular case materials -- soft silicone, hard polycarbonate and rubbery thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) -- all bonded together to provide a strong mix of protection from drops and other shocks in a reasonably slim case.
Ballistic's design also features extra-padded corners -- giving the iPhone a squarish look, but providing extra protection exactly where the phone is most likely to impact a hard surface. The SG case features a textured back and soft sides for easy grip and traction on flat surfaces, but leaves the front surface uncovered (so users have the option of applying their own screen protector if needed).
The Ballistic SG is on pre-order now with a retail cost of $30, available in Black-on-Black or Black-on-Red. Similar cases for earlier models are also available.

I wish I had an iPhone 4...
just so I could get that case. Too bad he doesn't make one for the iPod Touch or iPad. Anyone that doesn't buy a case like that for an iPhone 4 just isn't thinking rationally.
