Accessories with flair and fashion

Two new accessories for the current-model iPod Nano and the iPad take a different approach than the pack, perhaps marking them out from the crowd. The RawkBand from ManGlaze capitalizes on the frequent idea of using the Nano as a wristwatch with an edgy style, while the transparent Transformer from InnoPocket is a rare full-hard-shell case for the iPad that also functions as a stand.

The RawkBand ($27) is a thick leather-style wrist strap featuring a removable section to embed the Nano, with the headphone jack facing up-arm so that the cord can go up one's sleeve for less stress on the cord or just to hide it. The Nano itself provides an optional clock function, FM Radio or iTunes music selections with album art, allowing users to treat it like a wristwatch with benefits. It comes in five amusingly-named colors, including Hellvis, Yerma, Depresso, White and Black ("like your soul") and has two sets of clasps to accommodate most wrist sizes.

InnoPocket's Transformer ($35) hard case for iPad features a patented swivel hinge design so that the clear polycarbonate material can act both as a shield when the iPad is not in use, and as a stand (portrait or landscape) or a "stage" (typing angle) when in use. Soft pads protect the glass front of the iPad, and the hinge itself provides a comfortable grip to help carry it in a balanced, easy manner.
