updated 10:45 pm EDT, Tue October 26, 2010

Customers receive free shipping on everything

Apple has announced that it has expanded its online stores with a new portal for customers based in China. The company is offering free shipping on everything in the store, as the products are already manufactured by local suppliers. Products include Mac computers, iPods, iPads and the iPhone 4, which was recently made available at Apple's brick-and-mortar stores.

The announcement marks Apple's latest expansion of its reach into the Chinese market, which will also be bolstered by several new retail locations in Beijing and Shanghai. Customers can also access the App Store in Simplified Chinese, with localized apps and charts for the most popular content in the country.
